Hey everyone! I've been considering getting a bumper guard for my 2004 Grand Marquis. I have been looking all over for one that is specific to grand marquis and my year. No luck. I was wondering if anyone knew whether or not the 2004 Crown Vic has the same bolt up areas (or whatever they are called) as my Marquis?

I'm new to external addons. maybe someone could help explain how you mount a guard on. It's it on the sub frame, do body on frame cars have subframes? Sorry if these questions are stupid; I'm new to the game. smile

I found this one for a Crown Vic. http://www.fleetsafety.com/Police-Push-Bumper-PB400-Grill-Guard-by-Setina-528
No idea if it's compatible.

You are more than likely going to have to cut into your bumper cover and possibly the bumper frame depending on model, as most if not all the market for panther push bars are sized and fitted for the Crown Vic's bumper and cover. A few members have done it here with Grand Marquis, however whether or not it is worth it or looks good is up to the owner.

IDK why you'd take a perfectly nice Grand Marquis and then make it look like a old cop car but...

A crown Vic push bumper for an '03+ should in theory fit your car. You will have to put holes in your bumper cover, which won't be repairable.

Again, I think it would be a mistake to ruin a GMQ by trying to make it look like a cop car. You will not get many people here approving of it if you do. IMO it would be a mistake.

if you're that worried bout your bumper, they make super small rubber absorbers that go on each side of the license plate.

Actually... I might get those.... super small but still functional.

Hmmm. You guys might be on to something here. Truly, I'm trying to find ascetically pleasing additions to my car, preferably useful ones. I'm just not sure what I can do with a Grand Marquis.

Man dont put that on a nice looking Marquis. It would make the car look cheap IMO.

If you must do it, use a no-cut model. I think I've seen a Marauder with one but it's just not right.

Have trouble with your eyesight? Keep bumping into things? Get glasses. Glasses would be cheaper than screwing up the front of a GM making it look like a vomit comet.

I think it could be cool. You should go for it. It's your car, not theirs.
Any pushbar that will fit a crown vic will easily fit on a grand marquis. The areas that you have to cut on the bumper might be slightly different, but it shouldn't be hard to figure out.

lower it, trow some bullit rims on, tint it and paint it neon pink. Just a suggestion. hehe. Anyways. Wheels would be the first place to start on a marquis, aside from tint.

Looking at your sig, I have the same year and color Marquis. Except with tan leather. :P

Well, I probably won't take it that far. It does have "slightly" darkened heat reflective tint on all four doors and rear, if that counts for something.

I still do want to get one; but I wonder if it would be better to invest in some maintenance, such as new springs and struts. Struts and springs are still original. Hittin' 132,000 miles. Possibly considering heavier duty springs.

Do maintenance before throwing a $500 push bumper on a GM.

Whats your goal with the car? What are you looking to get out of it.
