So i have noticed the last month or so small oil drops under my car that smell like coolant. They are a little green in color so im pretty sure its oil and coolant mix. It doesnt do it every day though, like once a week.

Today was the first day that it looked green and smelled of coolant. I know i have a bad valve cover gasket on the drivers side, but i dont think its from that.

Any ideas where it might be coming from? It seems to drip from the bottom middle of the car.

2003 MGM 144k miles, all stock under the hood.

Thanks guys!

It is likely a coolant leak that is washing oil or other debris off the block and looking like it is a mixture of things (or bring along with it oil from the leaking valve cover gasket or grommet).

I will have to try and climb under and see if i can find out what it is. First thing ill check is the intake though. I tried to take some pics but it just looks like oil, you cant see the green.

Could it be a head gasket?

Your car should have G05 coolant in it which is pale yellow. Green could be coolant if you have the wrong coolant or it could be oil from the AC refrigerant. Leak detection dye is often green.

yeah, does your AC work? Leak detection dye is green like antifreeze and would leak out with the oil if there is a leak in the system.

No the AC works perfectly. I flushed the system after i got the car and use old faithful green coolant.
