I am still a rookie here so forgive if this is already been addessed, I could not find it in the search area.

I am looking to see a copy of what a department could of ordered for their cars that is beyond the normal lighting and color options. Some on my list are common also.

Please add to it or if you have a complete order form post it for us.

Trac-Lok axle was usually an option and not always standard. Plus 3.55 gearing.

Starting in 2007 there was a "Comfort and Convenience" package. This package included a power driver seat, cruise control, and a factory CD AM/FM radio ( same one that is in all the 2009+ LX's ).

What year? There are order guides for every year, I only have them 1998 to 2003 for CVPIs.

I guess my 2001 info would be of little value.

Just find the order guide for whatever year you are looking at, it'll tell you everything.

I can't help you with a complete list... but one thing I do know is that the P71s came with a LOT of stuff that the normal vehicles don't come with. When I first came on here, there were a lot of people who constantly told me that there is literally NO difference between the P71 and the normal Crown Victorias except that the P71s came with vomit and scratches. While that may be true... and while I do prefer the LX, there are a BUNCH of things that you can upgrade to from P71 parts. The most recent thing I just discovered is a variable decoupler pulley for the alternator, which is pretty awesome in itself.

As far as the things in your list, I'm really intrigued by these two items:

*trunk circulator fan
*noise suppression bond straps

I'm quite sure the P73/P74 didn't come with a trunk circulator fan? But I would be interested to know if the noise suppression bond straps were something that's different between the two cars?

Noise suppresion straps are the extra ground straps. (The basic car IS the same. Options are just that, options).

Another thing you will want to google is "Major product changes" <vehicle>

Alex.

Do you happen to know where those extra ground straps went?

Thanks!

GM_guy your the man,,thanks for the links

I was hoping the bond strap might of been that roof reinforcment part that another member was talking about installing.
The circulator fan option I found on a 08 with the ready for the road package.

Does anyone have info on the silocoln hoses and aircraft clamps option

Ok, just did a search for the fan, was pretty hard to find anything, but I did find a YouTube video of a guy going over his P71 and saw this (at the 5:40 mark):

As far as the roof reinforcement part, that's me that posted that. I got it in the mail a couple of days ago, but I can't find the cable that I need to connect my camera, so I can't take new pictures.

I won't be installing it any time soon honestly since there is a 1,200 mile separation between me and my Crown Victoria that is in storage, but I'll try to find as much info on it as I can and then make a small page for it on my website.

As for the silicone hoses and aircraft clamps... if you look under the hood of most P71s, you'll notice the hoses are a sort of aqua / teal color. Those are special hoses that... based on my understanding, essentially will last the life of the vehicle. I hear they're pretty expensive (really expensive) to order separately, but if you order those new, you'll never have to replace them for like 20 years or something ridiculous.

The powertrain engineer at STAP told us those hoses and clamps are a ripoff. He said the constant tension (spring) clamps actually hold better.

I got that option on my '01, and it's the most expensive option on the car. I think it cost me $295.

Ground straps on both tailpipes to frame, and ground straps between the chassis and trunk lid. Those are the 2 biggest changes I can think of.
