NEED HELP! I am attempting to complete my next stage of my 87 build. I am not a newbie to building. I have had 13 Fox Bodies. I have carried over my knowledge from there. My first stage was a few appearance items, thorough tune-up, replaced all brake lines, new sound system, full exhaust, and CAI, next was rear (stuffed it with a 5.0 lim slip/3.55s) and tranny (built to Stage 2 street/strip), then I had it painted metallic charcoal gray with shadow racing stripes, and then the fun part - the engine; dynoed at 313hp and 365lbs of torque at the wheels (Cobra heads and U/L ported stage 1, big valves, 1.7s, Ecam, 80mm Mass Air Conv, 24# inj, MSD, elect fan) (built it myself under my mentor). I also have #232 Trilogy Marauder (Juices old car for those familiar), dynoed at 470hp/480lbs of torque at the wheels.
Now, it is time for the next stage: Big Brakes, and comprehensive suspension. I don't have an unlimited budget, but I'm not tight either. As I read thru the threads my head is spinning. Each thread only has a bit of info here and there. Then, to make it worse, there are links to other threads. This is dizzying! I am pretty good at making sense of chaos (cuz that is my job) but this is tooo confusing.
Can someone please point me to a comprehensive article for my 87? I need parts, part numbers, good sources and the like. I understand I will be making trips to junkyards for many of the parts. I am looking for better components, upgrade components, new, used, whatever.
Thank in advance to any help!

Hey Folks, Still researching this project. Anybody have part numbers or a source for spindles? I have FINALLY found part numbers and a source for the steering knuckles. I was able to find the driver side cheap, 119.99, but the passenger side I found is 295.99. Weird... Remember, this is for the upgrade, so 96-02 is the year(s) I need the numbers for. Yes, I'm aware if I source from a wrecking yard the spindles will be in the sourced steering knuckles. I'm trying to buy all new if possible, but not against used parts. Thanks for any help!

Go to the wrecking yard for these parts. You'll be able to get everything in one shot for less than the cost of a single new piece. Just inspect the spindles best you can in the yard. And don't unbolt everything from them, as minimal disassembly as possible. Things are cheaper the more complete you haul them out. When it is in pieces, some yards will price you per piece. And keep the fasteners you remove.
Alex.

maybe I am confused. what are you calling a steering knuckle and what are you calling a spindle?
in mind they are the same part.

88grandmarq, The steering knuckle connects the upper and lower control arms and is vertical. The spindle is the center of the steering knuckle that sticks outward for the hub (bearings) to attach to bolt the wheel to and is horizontal. Unless I'm mistaken?? I'm trying to figure out if the spindle is press in or bolt on??
Ultimately, I'm going for the look of the 66 Lincoln from the movie 'Hit and Run', or the (I believe a 65 Chrysler) new 'Green Hornet' movie car. I want to emulate that look (minus machine guns). The car will be "mobbed out" in satin black and near everything blacked out - no chrome. The only non black will be the bumpers (which will be satin silver or scotched), and the factory chrome spotlight. Basically, a resto-mod.

AWESOMENESSSSSSS and I love that lincoln. I'm doing the same thing right now and was looking for that link for the marquis site. I just picked up rear backing plates from a 03 vic to convert my 91 to rear disk brakes. Kelleyk do you have any pics or vids of your car, I'd love to check it out cause you and I are going in the same direction with ours.
