This really isn't an issue. I installed this harness with very little trouble(see my previous post). I would not worry about leaving the rubber covers off. Almost no other vehicle is so equipped. They are overkill. If you were to query the members here that have installed this harness on their G.M.s I would say you would find all positive responses. Unless you plan on driving your car under water, the head lamp connectors are never going to get wet enough to give you a problem. Over 2 years since I installed mine,no problems yet.

Another satisifed (very) with the BH headlight upgrade. I have owned or worked for a Two way shop that also did upfitting for over 20 years, and I was very impressed.

Now to find the best and brightest bulbs....

Update: Just had to replace the bulb in the l/headlamp. The connector to that bulb looks like new, with no rubber covers for more than two years.

That's good news!

Another BH1976 Satisfied customer here too as well. I've heard other members gripe that he's taking advantage of us because instead of posting a thread on how to make it, he sells it. IMHO, I might be able to make one, but it would take multiple attempts to approach his quality of build. Thanks again Brian!

The preferred spot is at the battery junction box power terminal, located behind the battery.

Bingo.

There's a nice big terminal stud with a nut; for you to make the "power" connection.

(Another unsolicited kudo from a satisfied customer... wink )

Will upgrading the harness brighten the Amber colored parking lights as well or just the actual headlights?
What is the best way to brighten up the Amber lights so they don't get lost in the brightness of the headlights when people see you coming up behind them in their rear view

Does the BH harness incorporate any fuses between the powerpoint and the relays?

It brightens just the headlights. Not sure of the benefit of brightening the parking lights.

Yes, there are 15 amp fuses; one for each circuit.

Yes, headlights only.

Does anyone know if this would still be an upgrade for a 2011 Vic? I used a harness in my old 2001 Marquis and it made a great difference. I have noticed without a harness upgrade and even with the stock bulbs, the stock lighting on my 2011 is considerably better than the stock Marquis was.

I haven't done a voltage drop test, but I wonder if Ford improved this in recent years.

Can anyone shed any light?
