Okay guys, I'm hoping someone here can give me some ideas on how to fix the issues I'm having with going to all LED lighting in my Vic.

Basically it goes like this: I've followed the writeup from dRock about wiring in an electronic flasher unit, bypassing the LCM to run LEDs without needing resistors. I've also installed two extra bulbs in each tail light to flash and operate with the others. I'm also running GMQ sidemarkers with the wigwag/blinker mod. I've also got an LED CHMSL (not sure if that factors in).

My problem is that unless I run one incandescent in the tail lamps, the flasher unit doesn't function at all, and the signal indicators are constantly lit when the headlight switch is active. I still can't get this setup to run completely on LED bulbs.

Anyone got any ideas on how to troubleshoot this? Perhaps a certain model of electronic flasher to go with?

Sorry for the long post, but I felt the need to explain. laugh

Did the LCM work with regular bulbs in all those locations?
Does your electronic flasher work with all regular bulbs in those locations?
What kind of flasher do you have?

LCM worked with regular bulbs in all locations, and the electronic flasher worked too. I've currently got a Signal-Stat 262D. I'll also add that before I put LED bulbs in the front and ran the tails with a single incandescent each, the flash rate when headlights were on was extremely slow, but indicators on the dash functioned normally.

Now with full LEDs up front and the same setup in the back, indicators like to stay on but the flash rate is normal.

Slow flash rate could be a voltage problem, I know it was in my car but it's a completely different car.

My car is all LED, had the same problem. I needed to run one inline resistor to one of the bulbs on each side to correct the problem. Just spliced in and used a sheetmetal screw to mount it to the quarter panel between the bumpercover and trunk wall. The LCM doesn't like flaky voltage readings.
