I am looking at a 2004 cvpi on craigslist and considering possibly purchasing it. The car does not have a engine or transmission installed in it but does come with a engine and transmission the owner says is for the car. I have only seen the engine in pictures. On the valve cover there is a sticker with the following info,on the top line it says: REP 4.6L, right below that it reads: E1900 201203 44019947,below that is:4S-112-AA. Do any of these numbers ID this engine as a 2004 pi engine? thanks

The middle set of numbers is the build date. In this case, Dec 20, 2003.

nice post,
I have to look at my engine and try to identify it also. I recently had an LKQ 4.6 installed in my panther
