Anyone have a CONCLUSIVE idea who has the brightest replacement bulbs? (PIAA Xtreme White, PIAA Platinum SuperWhite, Sylvania Xtravision, etc etc).

I've looked at all the headlight discussions, but nobody has come up with a definitive answer, other than upgrading to HID's... well duh! But as for sticking with the current 9005/9006 bulbs, who's got the best?

Any ideas out there boys? Everyone's got: "I think..." but anyone actually done some testing?

Love to hear about it.

No testing done here, but I love my PIAA Xtreme White with new headlights. [Big Grin]

I have tried PIAA, phillips, silverstar, etc, but it won't really help until you change the headlight lens and assembly. Piaa a bit co$tly, silvertars was oki but still expensivethe extravision was the cheapest of all bulbs, but it was too yellow for me, so i bought a set of those cheap xenon lights from ebay and it worked great for me.

Who makes the higher wattage "off road only" bulbs that I can use for the high beams? That way, I'll stick with legal low beams, but have more light when I'm in the middle of nowhere... any ideas? I heard Max Super White's come in a 100W 9006.

I know mine are 9007's but they should be close.

I put silverstars in mine and they are ok. I do not feel like they are worth the $50 that I spent on them.

I put xtravision in the Excursion and it seems to be brighter than the Vic.

I think it's a lost cause. Either switch to HID, use an overwatted bulb, and/or add driving lights. Anyone know where I can find an overwatted bulb for my high beams(9005)? And what's all this crap on the ads about 55w = 90w etc etc... If that were the case, I want to know what their 90w version is "equal" to!
