It will probably cost at least 2 P71s to pay for all the work done to it.

Is the supercharger snout all fixed up?

I drove my Marauder to Lansing and back today. Left early in the morning and stopped at a junkyard for random Panther parts. I found a set of chrome door handles off a 2005 Grand Marquis, a 2000 Towncar wood steering wheel, several remotes and as always random switches and interior bits. Total for the yard admission and the parts, 15.87 out the door. Not a bad day. I also had to drive to Harbor Freight because the one time I didn't bring a puller, I find a steering wheel that was good enough to pull. Even with that I made out ok.

There was a Cadillac hearse at LKQ too, for Blakat....

And almost all of the highway miles were in the left lane.

I also spotted a elderly couple driving a Marauder, and I followed the car to Cracker Barrel.

I wish my yard was that cheap! The steering wheel alone at my yard would have been almost double that. I'm sure I'd pay almost $60-$100 for all that lot.

It is 40% off this weekend, so I saved a little bit. They don't charge for the little plastic interior bits. The cashier also had tip jars out, so I tipped 3 bucks before he started pricing. He only rang up the wheel, and counted all 4 door handles as one.

Took it in for a mini detail after work.

Then filled it up with ethanol free gas, it seems to like that better.

The one I go to doesn't have any special days like that, steering wheels are 12 bucks, interior door handles are 4.50, the switches are hard to know, depends on who is checking you out, but likely 9 for the group of switches, 4.50 each individual one, 2.95 for the passenger airbag light assy (usually rang up as a wire harness connector), and 6 bucks a key fob. Probably wouldn't charge for the seat rail covers if it was part of all that, the floor mat retainers, or the keys.

Nice haul! I wish I could find a wheel in better shape than mine, it isn't bad, but I drive with my thumb and so there is one worn through spot.

Been driving the new 06 around to get a feel for it.

It took a couple of days to get used to the acceleration. When pressing the accelerator an inch and a half, it makes the car launch powerfully from a stop.

The floor mat clips are really easy to remove. There's a pinch clip underneath the carpet near the floor mat clip. Slip a screwdriver underneath it close to the seat side and pull up. Then take it out. Super easy.

Hopefully that cures my issue.

The 4v has a "burping" procedure to remove air in the system since the tstat is not the highest point. If you dont know it, then look up Reische Performance, they have the procedure in a link

Thank you. I'm well aware of the burp procedure. My issue is this. I have hills on the way to work. Sometimes the car will run a little hot after going uphill, but quickly cool back down. Sometimes it doesn't. It comes up to temp on the gauge as normal (a couple of miles), sometimes it doesn't. The other day I drove almost 6 miles before it fully came up to temp on the gauge. Driving home from work, about 20 miles, sometimes you can grab the lower hose and it's some what cool to the touch.
The aftermarket tstat has a smaller head on it and 3 holes in the top. The Ford one is probably 30% larger around and has no holes. I think the aftermarket one is letting hot antifreeze back into the engine instead of sending it through the radiator. I'll find out tomorrow if the Ford part fixes it.

Discovered 2 things wrong that made me sad.

1) figured out why my "average MPG" on the dash has been reading so much higher than my real MPG (~2mpg), turns out its intermittently getting stuck at 99mpg which is screwing with the average. I so rarely leave the dash displaying the "instant MPG" readout, so I never noticed till I filled up the other night and left it in that mode after resetting the average. I noticed it claimed 99mpg at WOT when leaving the station, so either its the most efficient car ever, or the dash is broken.

2) this one s fairly minor, but my contour fan assembly's shroud has cracked around where I mounted the bracket that holds it to the car.. So the fans wedged themselves between the radiator an lower hose on one side, and is hanging off the bracket I made almost 4 years ago on the other side.

that happens on my 01 Merc all the time...along with the speedo reading 0 for no good reason
