I replaced the clamps on the airbox, the old ones were kinda rusty.

thanks Chip
it looks like a stout bearing

gotta hand it to the OEM axle, even with no bearing at all and just riding metal to metal it held up and went 55 miles at speeds up to 50mph without breaking off. I just thought the seal went, not that the bearing completely blew out the end. will never use a repair bearing again...it gets no oil.

The good ones (Timken, Green) are sealed and permanently lubed, and will last a very long time. (Some Ford trucks actually used them as OE parts.) My 82 has one, and it had been in there close to 100,000 miles without a problem.

Went to the pull a part with my brother to get some parts for a Oldsmobile Aurora he did an engine replacement on. After we finished that up, a 2002 vic had just arrived a few days ago so checked it out and got the heated mirrors, cigarette lighter (mine did't work and even though I don't smoke that bugged me) and the close out panel for the passenger foot-well with the foot-well light socket and auxiliary power socket. Got in installed and the foot-well area looking better. Interior color was different and it had already been hacked to pieces so not much usable left on it.

I've never seen/noticed that panel before. I'm about to go check if my car has it.

Went for my first drive in the rain since taking off the Goodyear RSAs. Was nice not getting wheel spin or sliding while engaging is spirited driving.

I need a panel like that.

Ran the new flagship through a touchless car wash for the enjoyment of the little boy.

It doesn't. I have one laying around that I've been meaning to install laugh

Most whale GMQ's have them at the yard if you want to go hunting.

as do all '95-'97 CV/GMQ/Town Cars. My '98 is missing it, well, it has the panel but no outlet. I saved that lower panel with outlet from my '96 with the intention of using it in my buddy's '91, but never did. So, I'll be installing it in the '98. My phone charger and 12v air pump don't make a good connection in the lighter but always worked great in that outlet.

I still need to wire up the outlet. Best cheap mod yet, got it for 4 bucks and quite pleased with how much better it looks now. Got that large wire harness hidden.

I had added a keyed outlet in that same area for my dashcam, but it looked like some dork had gone to Autozone and rigged an outlet. That gives a proper OEM look (not to state the obvious).

My 2000 GM has that panel, with the light and the outlet. I added a couple powered in run power points that sit on top of it, one is for the dash cam, other is for...I don't remember, I think the bluetooth is plugged into a powered in run USB adapter.

Easy to get to if I need to, but out of the way and no need to get to it, I wired it up to a switch that I can toggle if needed, which is next to the power point in the center console (03+).

Got new headlight assemblies. When they yellow I'll probably do Marauder corners.
