According to a guy named Nick in the CVN Facebook group, the Flowmaster 15802 is a direct fit for those wishing to upgrade to 2.5" dual exhaust.

Here are some pictures of his car:

Dude says he will post some tomorrow.

I saw one pic from the side and the tips appear to be properly mounted.

They look like they could certainly work. The bends around the trunk pan look right. The concern would be for the watts link clearance since whale tailpipes aren't completely symmetric due to the placement of the watts link. This is demonstrated by the modifications needed to make the Impala pipes fit. The early Panther rear suspension is similar to a lot of "muscle cars" with the triangulated 4-link like a GM BBody, G-body, A-body, Ford Torino platform, etc.. And its known that tailpipes from those applications fit to varying degrees on a box/aero. The '98+ panthers with the parallel 4-link and watts-linkage are a bit more unique.

Probably is the same issue with the impala tail pipes where the passenger side is not a problem but the driverside has to be cut in the mid point of the turn over the axle and weld and extension piece.
Im just saying.

I saw this posted on FB in a different group. I'm interested to see the pics as well. I've been wondering what the gain/difference is between conventional bends and mandrel bends over the axle.

Crush bends reduce the ID by quite alot on some area compare to mandrel bend at some point it may become a restriction .
