Was the 460 a factory option? I have never seen one with a BB.

Yes on the 460. My mom drove one from '76-'84 when it was replaced by a god-awful Cavalier wagon.

'76 was the last year that the 460 was offered as an option for its mid-size models (Torino/Elite/Montego/Cougar XR-7). After that, the 460 was restricted to the full-sizes through '78.
