Well hmmmmmmm...

Ok so I had this grand plan. I wanted to get an LX Sport, but I have too many cars already, so I needed to sell one first. Today was D-Day, so I'm a bit not-so-happy about saying goodbye to my second-ever CVPI. I didn't want to sell, but had to do so if I wanted the LX. I've attached a picture of her and another when she was in the garage sitting next to my daily driver CVPI.

Wow, what an outstanding car that was. 112,xxx miles, 21xx idle hours, rebuilt transmission, upgraded seats, center dash trunk release, everything worked. I had intentions on spiffing it up for my wife to drive. However it was only *after* I found it, purchased it and then brought it home that she tells me "I don't want to drive a CVPI." "Wha-??!?!" (then I wander off, muttering as I get away...lol)

And actually I'm questioning my sanity at this point because the LX that I found has crazy miles on it, is located in Florida and I will have to buy it sight unseen. That said, it is an LX Sport and those are kinda rare to come by (not that the rarity puts a high dollar value on them, but...). So I pulled the trigger. I will call the guy in FL tomorrow to make the arrangements.

Anyway just wanted to vent to folk who understand the passion and attraction for these cars. My wife's response today was "...what's the problem? It's just another car." Just another car??!?! Ohhhhh..... wtf facepalm biggrin biggrin

Jerry

Remove the plate, cover the plate, or edit out the plate. But dont put a thumb over the plate, especially if you go to sell it.

THIS ^^^

Why the sweat about your license plate? It's readily visible to anybody/everybody when you're driving the car...

Well she arrived today. Unfortunately we were busy at the time, so I could only get in a quick walkaround and short test drive.

I noticed a few areas of the paint that will need some addressing, but that was/is to be expected. It looks quite clean under the hood and runs well. The air ride in the rear has been replaced with springs and shocks, so I was told, but I didn't get an opportunity to look at that closer. Hopefully tomorrow. It did seem to wallow around during the drive more than my CVPI does, but I suppose that this too is expected. The good news is that the wife likes it upon first look! So far, so good on that front. I sold the second CVPI to buy her this, so I hope she is happy with it. We shall see.

Anyway.

We're the LXs in 2011 still Sports?

I only ask because I thought Sports had color matched grill/mirrors/door handles etc...

Plus I think the LXs came with rear springs from factory and the Sports were RAS

You didn't mention before that the new one was white. "Some spots that need addressing" will be all over.
