so I am also assuming that you didn't use the spacer gasket with the air turbulence deal in the center with this setup...you just used a regular tb gasket and that's it. mine has a thick spacer gasket that has like fingers or something in the middle to affect the air going in.

You have to use the thick plastic space gasket with this basically. I just used a regular gasket as a template, if I ever pull the throttle body off to port it I’ll take photos.

Knight stalker, now that I think about it I’m 95% sure rock Auto has the factory part number in their listings

so, per Rock Auto, for the 2003-2006 lincoln ls 3.9l v8 or the thunderbird, these are the oem numbers:

3W4Z9E926AC, 3W4Z9E926AD

assume these are the ones to look for unless I am looking at the wrong years.

Those numbers look about right if I’m recalling what was faded on the sticker on mine.

I'm in the middle of this right now. Seems like the OEM gasket/spacer thingy with the weird "teeth" in it would create a restriction - not from the "teeth" but more of a port mismatch. You can upgrade the size of your TB all day but if the gasket hole is still 65mm you're gonna have a port mismatch.

Took me getting halfway through this job to realize that any gains from an increased size TB will be negated by the stock size of the gasket everyone is reusing.

I think I may try to use the gasket for the Lincoln, provided I can make new holes in it without butchering it.

You could also just get the gasket made for a '96-'04 Panther, or even Ford Truck for that matter... Its just the old style paper gasket, but the center bore is the same not-quite-70mm-but-close-enough as the stock plenum and the 70mm truck TB us non-DBW guys use. That gasket should be easily found at most parts stores because it was used on many different Ford models from the late '80s-'00s.
