That's on my list, too. Did the hood & trunk lights because they're easy.

Got tired of my jacket's brass zipper leaving blue marks on my paint every time I check the oil. Too lazy to get out the fender cover every time. So I heat-shrinked the zippers.

Got it running for the first time in 2 weeks, really not sure why it wasn't able to be started.
I had to hold the throttle open to get it running, so thought the IAC was the cause...replaced it and it still stalls out after a few minutes.

I'll check timing tomorrow and see if anything improves.

I got the marker lens out of the Ford and modified it to make it work. It's not pretty, but it will give me a turn signal until the ebay ones I ordered show up, probably around Thursday.

$48 for both, coming out of Chino.

Inspected the front end of the '97 to the best of my ability. There's still a clunk there, but I'm not sure what's causing it. I'll roll it to the shop when I feel like it, otherwise the '87 gets to soak up some daily status.

I did hook the '97 up to Forscan and monitor the ABS stuff. Found the right rear wheel speed sensor is now virtually dead, only coming alive on hard bumps. The rest are still reading fine. I'll swap it out and see if the system comes back to life.

Also tried a KBS5 PCM from a later '97 P71 with the hopes of improving the shift schedule (2nd gear is short and wants to get in 3rd early under light throttle). It did not work correctly in my car, so the KBS3 went back in, despite the KBS5 supposedly was the revision to the one I had. It operated engine functions fine, but caused transmission troubles immediately, indicating a P1747 code (Short Circuit Shift Solenoid A). It felt like a real bad misfire and the idle woudln't pick back up when placed in park. No issues once the KBS3 unit went back in.

Checked oil since I'm a little overdue for an oil change. Car was a quart low. Dumped a quart in, looked to make sure everything's ok and there's not a family of raccoons living under the hood. There wasn't.

Checked the oil in the 97 (the other day) since its been a year since its last oil change, looked a little dark but still full.

Drove the 06 today and could actually see the insides this morning.

Love the LED conversion.

Putting lipstick on a pig (eyeliner actually)

Lenses are glued in with marine silicone, screwed into the junk bezels so they'll set up in the right place.

Hardware is soaking in vinegar. Just waiting on weather to do the LED conversion, headlight harness, radiator blackout project.
