could be .. anyways get ready to change axle seals sooner than later . Mini spool or spool are giving a hard time to diff internals.

Yeah, I had 80's models 4runners for years with welded diffs that I street drove with no issues but this is way different. Maybe the diff and axle design could be why. Did not expect it. Maybe the axle clip design, the 3rd member or since the Toyota's were all welded it felt better but turning definitely sucks. I also do not think my pinion pre-load was done right. may also be why its clunky. I have vibration in the car now. Everything in the driveline is new. ring and pinion have been the only change. On a positive note, the car "barks" 2nd with a spool in it lol

But, no worries, I am bringing the car to Marty (which I should have just done from the beginning)to get everything right and in order/adjusted before moving forward with any more modifications or money wasting.

Anyone's opinion on a good running 1997 complete Cobra motor with 158,000 miles for $2500? came out of a manual car.

Spool is appropriate for off-road cars. Here you provide yourself with big problems. Do not do this. In the end, it is dangerous - a high risk of skidding.
Any other type of LSD will satisfy you completely. Torsen is my choice.

Yeah a spool is not for the street, dangerous and you'll rip through tires. Must be slipping a tire every corner it's physically impossible not to on pavement. Torson yes are very good if they're out of budget a clutch based lsd does good as well. I'm using a new oem in older svt cobra with the cabon fiber clutches.

Yes Sir! It is coming along!

The tire slip does not bother me but it makes noises I have not heard in my trucks so I dont trust it. The skidding out thing slightly worries me since I will be using this for cruising and track only so I will definitely be taking y'alls advice and taking it out.

I also went ahead and bought the Cobra 4v. Marty and I had some much needed conversations. The money I was going to have in heads and parts to get a 2v to 400 hp was silly. I bought a Cobra 4v cheaper than trickflow heads or the PI heads I have (which are bare) plus machine work, springs, cams, timing kit, etc.. and the 4v starts me at 300 hp with a lot more room to go. Was the best option for me.

Motor shipped this morning from Wade's Motorsports and I am loading the car Saturday and headed to Georgia to drop it off at Mo's!!

not sure if I posted here or Facebook or at all but found some 2004 Marauder DB cast heads on a part out and doing a Mach 1 intake manifold. this is getting out of control but I am so excited. should run quite nicely.
