Nice.

I'm fairly certain that this is going to be the car. The mismatched front seats are going to bother me. Hell, they already are. Sure, I could cover them, but the driver's seat isn't really that comfortable.

Ideally, I'd like to find a '06+ CV/GMQ 50/50, or Town Car 40/20/40 in charcoal.

I don't want to go through the hassle of re-pinning '03-05 seats; aside, my LX interior is tan - otherwise I'd consider swapping those seats in.

And there's a bit of a hang-up.

The county title bureau, which previously had reduced public hours to 1:30-4pm due to coronavirus, is now completely CLOSED to the public until further notice.

Sooooooo...it looks like this isn't gonna be happening anytime soon. frown

I belieeve you may be able to order a temporary tag online? Not sure. I know Dewine ordered dealers to issue 90 day tags instead of the normal 45 day tags. I also know you can renew a 45 day tag online right now for $2. Which I'm going to have to do, mine expires April 6. And local law enforcement made a statement in the local paper that they would not be abiding the governors request to not issue citations for expired registrations or licenses.

If you can't get one online then i suppose you don't have to worry about the owner selling the car out from under you while all this panic is still going on.

I don't know about the temp tag deal.

I just found out that Ashtabula County has resorted to doing titles by mail, so I'm going to see what they have to say about the matter. I might be able to knock it out.

Interesting. I did surprisingly get my title in the mail the other day even though the dealer I got the car from is closed. They must have sent it out just before they closed. Though I can’t get my tags transferred until god knows when.

I don't see why you couldn't just buy the car, get a bill of sale and transfer the title once the DMV re opens?

Still plenty of vehicle sales going on here. Friend works for a dealership and they're still selling cars.

What? Are they just writing citations for fun, then? How is that gonna stand in court.. I feel like it wouldn't.

Different state but I have a similar dilemma.. kind of. My temp tag for the truck expires soon but the DMV has been completely shut down for the last few weeks (and the Governor just said will be shut down likely for at least another month if not more)

I'm kinda concerned about getting pulled but I mean, how can they enforce it if there is no way to get an actual license plate. With the DMV being closed and all. It's not my fault. I would definitely get my attorney involved if they did try but I'd rather just get a plate and be done with it.

The '03 SAP plates are valid through 4/2022 so I will probably just plate-slap it with those.
