As the title say's I am looking to swap my old and busted 1999 npi for a 2007 PI 4.6 and looking for information about the swap since the years are significantly different.
Is there any links to a similar project? what should I look out for? Oh and mine is a Romeo V8 4.6
Thanks.

Pretty straightforward. You are going to use most of the external stuff from the '99, oil pan, exhaust manifolds, fuel rails and injectors, all of the '99 wiring and computer, and the '99 TB and plenum. Basically you will be using the '07 long block and intake. The '99 computer and harness will run the '07 engine just fine, but there would be some power to be gained by getting it tuned to take advantage of the PI engine's extra airflow. Its been done many times, but I am struggling to find a link at the moment. The closest one I can think of would be ChevyGuy, he put a '04 GMQ engine in his '96 Town Car, it ran off the stock computer but he did use a '01-'02 MAF. That was several years ago now.

I remember that one! Is there some sort of hand held tuner or would I need to do it some other way? All the ones I've found were for 05+..And I'll go out and start soaking down those exhaust bolts, those are notorious on everything for breaking.
