My first post on crownvic. I haven't visited Mo's yet but have an appointment in July for a dyno tune. Jeff and Marty have been great so far. I have high hopes the tune goes great.

First met Marty in '04. Great guy. Several years ago i dropped off my S/C '03 (from St Louis to Atlanta). Came back a week later. Jeff tuned & dyno'd (495 rwhp) and i drove it home. All a really good experience. I'm too old for a long distance tune, but smart enough to know it works.

Figured I'd throw in my recent experience with Marty. I've been working back and forth with him to iron out the set up in my '11 after the 3.55 axle swap. I already had an SCT Livewire TS+, so I got an email tune from Marty. The initial set up was a bit annoying at first (kept sending the info, not sure if it wasn't getting through to him or what but I kept having to resend. Probably not his fault.) Once that got taken care of he sent the tune off to me real quick.

I uploaded it and things worked pretty well right out of the box. Shift timing for the new 3.55 (originally 3.27) was perfect. I noticed some slight spark knock under load with the new tune, so we've been going back and forth a bit on that. I also had him tone down the shifts a bit. Initially I went his recommended level 7 shift firmness. It shifted, boy did it shift. It would bark 2nd gear under moderate throttle. Fun for a bit, but it got old by the time I got home. I had him ratchet it down to a 5 and that's better, but I'd like it to respond a bit more like my '11 Sierra does. In that, you can barely feel the shifts if you're just driving around keeping up with traffic. Get on it, and it's a monster. Hopefully Marty can dial in something like that for me.

Would recommend.

So, 1st time to the shop had a great experience but my ride wouldn't allow Jeff to tune. Had my setup off and car wouldn't boost. The group of guys working with Jeff and Marty were awesome to say the least. Fast forward a few weeks and some more $$$ got the car back in asap for how busy the shop is.
Jeff had a cancellation and I jumped in. Once again still had some issues, but the guys again helped me through it and the car is running awesome.
I can't say enough about how helpful and great they were to work with.
Just have to start upgrading my couplers... Keep blowing them off!

Why didn`t you lower the pressures yourself with your handheld programmer..I dial mine up 5% or down 5% or whatever I want, same with the shifting sooner or later...Mine was shifting a little high for me so I clicked it down a few mph...

Anyone know of a CA smog legal tuner/programmer/chip? I've been looking and of all the ones I've come across they either don't specify or are not CARB approved. This is just some of the troubles of living in a non-free state. Thanks.

I had a great experience with Marty. He tweaked the shift points on the original tune too better suit my driving and I couldn't be happier! They are a class organization. I highly recommend them for your tuning needs.

So. My friend's car got a new firmware from Martin Ochs. The car is a very beautiful 2001 Town Car Cartier Long with 3.08 gear. Big and lazy boar.
What is the result? We are very surprised. Especially me. There was no task of turning into a hypersonic missile. On the contrary - moderation and reliability. In fact, the car is much faster. 0-60 decreased by 1.5 seconds. Yes, but that's not the point. It's hard for me to describe the changes. Lincoln lost a thousand pounds of mass and fifteen years of age. The car is incredibly dynamic and lightweight, comfortable and predictable. This is pure pleasure.
I got the same pleasure from the process and communication with Marty - he is a punctual and attentive person with exceptional experience. Without the slightest doubt - he will modify my Town Car.

Marty, thank you again for an incredible adventure.

I think you should discuss such issues directly with the programmer. You will definitely get the answer from Marty.
