I want a tach but the only thing I found was 100 dollars and I cant buy something that much PLUS the price of the tach right now as my wife is mad I spent a bunch already lately on other stuff.

This thing came up by mistake when I was looking through tachs on Ebay.

ITEM NUMBER 142495590237 on Ebay. Put item number because link was way long.

I asked him and he replied that it will work on our cars as thats what its designed to do. I will test it out and report back.

You can get any number of devices that will hook up to the OBDII port and display any number of things like speed, codes, tach, etc...look on ebay or Amazon and you'll find them from $40+, more for quality parts...or you can buy a tach and tach adapter and hook it up in your car.

I read the OBDII ones lag for a tach. The only adapter I could find was 100 dollars.

This thing plus a tach only cost me around 70 dollars. I will see how well it works.

You can get a bluetooth OBD adapter on Amazon for $10 or so and the paid version of torque which is only $5 will give you tach and a whole lot more.

I thought you needed a "smart" phone for that stuff. My phone is so outdated about 10 years old. I do not want to upgrade my phone just for a tach. I prefer to have a hard one installed in car.

I got smart and used to coil wire running to my remote starter and also the IGN+ wire from the remote starter. So it all installed cleanly inside the car.

For now I have a cheap 10 buck tach from ebay and its working good. I would like to find a simple digital tach that could be hidden better. I have this one zip tied to the little defrost vent thing on the dash by the pillar its only 52mm but I would like a more hidden option.
