Still learning my way around here. Just found this room.
So, like most everyone else, I'll just post what I change/update on the car in here instead of the "What did you do to your Panther today?" thread.

I picked this car up in February 2020 to replace what I had been driving (got broadsided and totaled). I am the second owner. The original owner was the Federal Gov. It is not a P71, but it did have a set of 4 strobes at some point.

As it was the day I bought it

Tinted Windows

I've done a bunch of other stuff to the car so far.
In order of appearance, sort of...

Replaced LR Window Motor & Regulator
Swapped in Town Car Wood & Leather Steering Wheel w/ Radio Controls
Tinted Windows
Replaced HVAC Control Module
Rear View Mirror w/ Compass
Swapped Pass Front Door Panel (NO Power Seat) for a NOS panel WITH Power Seat option in preparation for Marauder Seats.
I have the harness but still need to run it. Easy job ...lol

Eibach Front & Rear Anti-Roll Bars

ADTR ZIP Tube
ADTR Ported Plenum
P71 Air Box from TASCA Ford
SCT Tuner & Tunes from MO's Speed Shop

Mach 1 Front Spoiler
Blacked Out Headlights and Side Markers
CVPI Grill
Marauder/CV Sport Trunk Lid Spoiler

Town Car Steering Wheel

Factory Lights

Blacked Out Lights

Mach 1 Spoiler and CVPI Grill

I plan to have the grill surround painted gloss black to match the car.

Trunk Lid Spoiler

I'm also working on swapping in a Marauder Auxiliary Gauge Pod. I'm using different Autometer gauges though - Water Temp and Transmission Temp. I'm waiting on a few parts to get the water temp gauge working. I'll get the transmission temp gauge working once I do the JMod. I've got all the parts to do the JMod, I'm just not looking forward to the mess.

Anyhow, here's the gauge pod...
I have the metal bracket that the pod snaps in to.

Today the car is in the shop for the long Marauder overhead console and the resulting headliner fix/mod. I ran across a matching "Car Side" plug for the console on ebay. I wired it up and tested it a few days back. It's coiled up in the headliner now, ready to be plugged into the console. I swapped the correct sun visors in yesterday.

That's it so far. The Marauder seats are at the same upholstery shop that is doing the overhead console for me. They're getting tuned up a little. Among other things, the Mercury head that's embossed into the leather is going away. They're also having heat added...maybe A/C too.

This Wednesday the car is going in for a Stainless Works exhaust system. Really looking forward to that.

Thanks guys.

It's great to be driving a popular (numerous?), reliable American car again - plenty of support & simple to work on... knock on wood, lol ...dammit, just jinxed myself

Again, thanks guys.

OK, so everyone came through Isias? Isaisi? ...the storm was no big deal here. Windy and rainy for couple hours.

So, the overhead console job was done a few hours early! It turned out great. So I ran over there, picked it up and drove it right over to the muffler shop that's doing the dual exhaust job tomorrow. Fingers crossed that the exhaust job goes as well as this console job did.

Yes, the car now had two compasses (??). They do track together, but I'll just keep the one in the console off. I had the console installed for the garage door opener and the storage space, not the compass. The better lights are a bonus too.

Now I'm really looking forward to the leather Marauder seats, the gauge pod and the CV Sport shifter console.

Crown Vic Sport Console waiting in the wings........

I believe someone here was able to put a module from an Exploder overhead console into one of those ones so it shows outside temperature instead of just a compass. It might have been Bluejay32.

The HVAC module displays outside temp now. I wonder if there's a way to slave the overhead display to the HVAC display......

I'd actually prefer a clock, to tell the truth.

LOL ...well, the muffler shop, a local Meineke, says the Stainless Works system doesn't fit. They say the system hits the driveshaft. So I gotta ride over there tomorrow morning to see what the deal is uugghhh

The headliner job went too smoothly....

OK, so the Meineke shop was just doing the job on a chassis lift instead of a drive-on lift. With the rear suspension at full droop the driveshaft just barely grazed the top of the exhaust system. The tech doing the work is just a real perfectionist, lol

Otherwise, it went together just fine & it looks great.
It does drone though. Yeah...

I have been driving it for a few days now and it does seem to be mellowing out a little. Or maybe I'm just getting used to it? Anyway, I'm going to have to play around with mufflers a little. I'll try a pair of Magnaflows first. I'll do that in a month or so I guess. Meineke wants me to bring the car back in a month or so to double check everything.

Overall, thumbs up!

Looks like the Marauder gauge pod is up next...

It's been about two weeks since I updated this thread - too hot or too rainy or too hot & rainy to really make any serious progress with anything.

I did remove the cup holder & ash tray gadget and the bracket that it slides into, so things are moving along with the gauge pod install. I've got all the parts, just lacking a little motivation.

Yesterday I did perform a "Peace Of Mind" upgrade though.

When I installed the ADTR/Eibach bars a few weeks back I discovered the stupid, stainless-clad lug nuts that Ford uses on these cars when the alloy wheels are fitted. Forget about using the factory tools to get the wheels off. I had to hammer a socket onto quite a few of the nuts in order to use a breaker bar & socket to remove the nuts. Getting the nuts back out of the socket turned into a disaster too. What a joke. Except changing a flat tire on the side of the road - possibly in the dark - wouldn't be funny at all. Not with those stupid fasteners in place.

So yesterday I used this...

...to replaced all 20 of these...

...with 20 of these...

...done in no time!! These are what Ford should have used in the factory...

Now the car is faster, it rides better and even does my laundry and vacuuming!! wink

Two piece lug nuts are the worst. Can't stand them. And Ford is one of the worst offenders.
