Hello! for the trans experts.

When i parked and started to get out of the car it was still in reverse some how. I put it in neutral, ebrake on, turned the car off.

looked at the shifter cable bracket and one bolt was on the ground, another was loose. two 10MM small bolts

Neither would tighten at all (but they screw in real nice, just never get tight).

I screwed them back in few days later the same thing. Im looking at adding some loctite...

am i missing washers there? or wrong bolts maybe?

Hey, ship!

Could be the wrong bolts, or could be they were stripped on installation. Unfortunately, the FSM doesn't call out the bolt specs, other than torque.

RF Where the F have you been and thanks!

Looks like it might be stripped, metal in the bolt itself.

I opened up the share link permissions.

I ended up getting new bolts from home depot. They were slightly longer (with the hopes there were some threads not stripped or messed up at the end.).

It seemed to work. they torqued/got tight. I used a little blue loctite.

Time will tell if it actually worked.

I can see the pic, now. Looks like they may have been loose for a while since there's aluminium material only in the upper few threads. Glad you got it sorted!
