Hey y'all,

My current exhaust is stock headers and downpipe, stock H-pipe into Totalflow 2102 (straight-through) mufflers dumped to the sides in front of the rear tires. I love the sound and the look, but one reason has caused me to want to switch back to a rear exit: drone. I've come to the conclusion that side exits aren't gonna be ideal for no drone. I even tried out Vibrant's Ultra Quiet Resonators, but that actually made the drone worse, so I'm returning those. So I've decided to go back to just the mufflers, but go back to a standard rear exit. I don't have my stock piping anymore, so where can I buy direct replacement piping?

Thanks.

If those are the Impala tails...you need some modification IIRC, I know someone put them on a newer model, but they were perfect for 1997 and earlier(without the watts link)

Just don't get your hopes up on the Impala tails. Hasn't been a production run in quite some time. Though one side was still around a year or so ago, pretty sure all stock has been depleted by now.

Just received the tailpipes today, might make an install post and an exhaust video.

Please do Sir! Curious myself on how pipes work out for you. I looked at the earlier link, looks to clear everything, watts, etc … well.

Nice score. Where'd you get them? Only see some ebay listings. Sure you got the 2.5" and not stock 2" ones? smile

They are 2.5's. I ordered mine off of eBay new and, to my eye, there seem to be no issues with them. Currently having trouble getting the passenger side tailpipe in because there's not a lot of rear clearance. Might have to drop the fuel tank.

EDIT: Might not have to drop the fuel tank, removing the frame bolt to the watts link should give me the clearance to slide it in. Definitely will make a video on how to do this.
