Instead Of bending the Pedal why not use the stock Crown Vic Rectangle Pad? Wouldn't fill in the gap? Or you think it would be to much? For the love of god I must have looked for 15 min trying to find the pictures I took of the bondurand cobra vic at stap in 2010 .The cars were done this way but they still had to cut the left side of it and it looked silly having different size of pads.

Many full size Muscle Cars of the 60's had rectangle Clutch and brake pads. That is not the point, when I'm getting the mustang assemblies I re use the steel pads and I buy new rubber pads also. I'm not going to try to source rectangular pads and brand new rubbers if I only have to move the brake pedal shaft and still use the mustang pads .

Many full size Muscle Cars of the 60's had rectangle Clutch and brake pads. That is not the point, when I'm getting the mustang assemblies I re use the steel pads and I buy new rubber pads also. I'm not going to try to source rectangular pads and brand new rubbers if I only have to move the brake pedal shaft and still use the mustang pads . I don't have a set of your pedals, but every manual I've owned has those smaller pads, spaced the way you build them, and it's really handy if you're feet are large or if you're wearing work boots etc. I would think it's almost a safety issue if you were to put the pedals too close to each other?

Also, the larger pedal cars mentioned probably had them even farther apart. In the late 70s through the 80s pedal ergonomics advanced greatly due to European influences. Also of note, the cars with the large rectangular pedals weren't capable of creating lateral g-forces. lol So you sat on the bench and ran them like a lady in church at an organ.

I am almost done with my shifter relocation. I used a cheap Ebay T45 shifter and about $20 worth of hardware to move the shifter further back. Now it comes out of the console without having a long shifter arm extension. Shifter feel is much nicer now.
If someone wants to do something similar you can use a stock Ford shifter in the rear, inner tie rod or heim joint to create your new pivot point. The possibilities are endless. very well done serge
