Hey guys I was wondering if the 2003 exhaust will fit a 2000 civilian Crown Victoria.

I'm asking because aftermarket exhausts will range from 98-02 and 03+

Thank you in advance!

It'll take a little modification to get around the rear shocks.

I have single exuast and do not currently have a dual.

I had my eye on one but not 100% sure the seller will pull through now 😔

Just go get one off a junkyard car. The marauder one is no doubt overpriced and will require midofication, junkyard is maybe $50 and a direct fit

what Clay said ^^^. The Marauder exhaust is really no better than the stock PI.

My '04 GMQ has exhaust mods done by the previous owner...single exhaust replaced with DIY duals, rear cat delete (unknown why), Walker/AP/? mufflers and Megs tips. It sounds just like a stock Marauder. I know; I used to own a stock one.

Stock marauder is 2,25” iirc but the price differential makes it not worthwhile without mods if you ask me

Oh so was a steal deal in the works? Not a theft, just a deal that is so sweet ... it makes you think you think you stole it. That makes sense, really.

Some Mercury GMs and a whole bunch of Crown Vics came with factory stainless steel dual exhaust. After 2000, they were enlarged to 2" or more with the PI 4.6. The police cars rarely had the two resonators at the extreme rear that the HPP cars had, but you can eliminate them.

If you go looking for Marauder exhaust system that's maybe gonna need some mods ... the price probably went up when you say Marauder. You have 281 cubic inches of non PI headed mod V-8, there is no benefit to be had with the Marauder exhaust and for what one will cost that isn't bent, likely you can have a nice system made up at your local muffler shop.

FWIW, I had my single exhaust vic changed to a dual system w/H-pipe fabbed and installed this past august for about $500 at a local shop. Would've been only like $100 more if I hadn't supplied tips and mufflers. Point being, it is worth checking into some local shops for you. I live in CT, so I can't imagine that my prices would be all that different from what you'd see in most of NYC. Or you could check some places upstate (read: north of the Bronx) that are close by to see if there's any savings to be had as well

Called a shop below the Bronx and got a quote for 1200 for 409 SS exuast which didn't include install. For that, I could order a 304 setup online, which something I've considered.

I'll see if I can reach out to any shops above the Bronx.

You have a stock Y pipe, all they need do is split it, run a pair of pipes to mufflers, then two simple tail pipes. Only SS you need is the new extensions ahead of the mufflers where temps are higher, and regular aluminized steel will last years even there. Tail pipes will be fine in the same aluminized steel.

When I did mine in 2001, I used a complete system from a '01 CV HPP but I cut the tail pipes right after the axle, removed and replaced both tail after that with aluminized steel, it show NO rust. I just painted it black. I still have the resonators in the basement. My old '77 F-150 gets new pipes every 10-15 years, but it sees snow, salt, mud, etc. $1200 is CRAZY ... plus this way you can easily go after the look you desire.

Yeah $1200 is nuts, even for SS, especially without install. I personally went 16 gauge aluminized. I had it on my regal for a few winters and it held up great, so I decided to do the same with the vic. Totally up to you on which material to go with though. Depends on how much your budget is, if you wash your car regularly in the winter, how long you plan on keeping the car, etc.
