By the way, if you're replacing a solenoid, the "Motorcraft" replacements are all made in Mexico now. So I decided to go with a Standard (also Mexican) SS598. Probably made in the same place, just goes in a different box. There is also an SS598T that costs ten dollars less. My contact at Federated tells me the T is their "budget" line, and the non-T is the "good" one. Don't know how true that is, maybe I'm just a sucker for paying the extra ten. No "Blue Streak" equivalent?

Plenty of Chinese-brand solenoids on Amazon or Mexican reboxes for slightly more, or date-coded NOS for stupid money, but nothing else. Pepperidge Farm remembers when replacement parts lasted longer than 18 months.

Checked the tires for psi, tugged on the cover here and there, then we took the truck to supper and TSC for pellets.

Mr Hero? You're braver than I am. I made that mistake once, never again.

Mr Hero? You're braver than I am. I made that mistake once, never again. The only mistake you made was not giving them another chance! Also, I miss the old logo. Nope, when it comes to actual food poisoning I'm one and done. Fixed the logo for ya.
