So I got the Kooks headers on, no cats, and I’ll be running a 2.5 inch dual exhaust with an H pipe once I get it all up in the car. I had a dual 2 inch with rear cat delete, h pipe, 28” glass-packs, and 2.5” 24” long tips previously which was a little quiet for my taste. Obviously going to no cats will make things significantly louder, I was thinking about just doing 23” glasspacks (longest thrush makes in a 2,5” diameter) after the axle, at the bumper and doing downturns instead of a straight exit, but I spend probably 30 minutes on the interstate as part of my morning commute and I suspect that would still be a little loud at 2k rpm. Any suggestions?

dynomax super turbos and full tailpipes are my go to but I don't like things loud. I did a magnaflow knockoff on a friend's silverado with long tubes/no cats recently. It's quiet if you're easy on it and LOUD if you're not...

I live down south and seem to be an incurable horse trader, so stainless isn’t a necessity

You could try some non-resonated 4" tips to increase volume. No idea how that's gonna affect drone or overall sound quality though, as I prefer my car to be a bit quieter and have resonated tips and all of my cats (for now)

I want it decently quiet, I’m just also too lazy to put cats in

Plan I have currently is to do twin h pipes 2’2” apart, which according to my math should reduce drone significantly. I’ll pair that up with some 24” long glasspacks just past the axle, again to keep drone to a minimum. If it sounds too loud I’ll look into some chambered mufflers to put where they normally are.

Sounds solid to me. If you're looking for chambered mufflers, I used the Magnaflow XL's on my vic and they have a good sound to them IMO. No drone that I can notice, though part of that is the resonated tips. I went with the 18" long body ones and resonated tips because I wanted it to still be relatively quiet, but I may be switching to unresonated in the future to get a bit more sound and to change from the poor chrome plating on my current tips to stainless.

I personally like cutouts with quiet mufflers. Did the loud thing when I was young and now like my cars quiet; but with the option of being loud for those sleepy commutes.

Did 1 h pipe right behind the cross member and 26” glasspacks behind the axle. The drone is pretty bad and it sounds like a wet fart

I’m kinda considering having glasspacks put on... just worry about Drone because allot of my driving is on the highway.

I haven’t had issues with glasspacks before, but this is the first time I’ve put them behind the axle.

I was hell bent going that route but the reviews about cutout ratteling like crazy or being stuck open/closed changed my mind .
I did not find anything reliable enough so I got the quietest muffler I could with cats and I just hope the drone will be minimal and wont raise a giant red flag when I pass a cop .

I guess it depends on the cutout. I have had them on 3 vehicles and never had that problem. On my '86 CV project; I got my 1st set of electric cutouts; so I will see how well they seal when closed. If they work well; I will install them on my '05 MGM exhaust when I get around to doing that.
