I made a new "two cup" cup holder sits on the hump in front of the seat that clears my XM better and still allows a large OD cup to fit. Painted it black and let dry, put black soft rubber pads in the holders cut from an old tool box drawer liner. I also did a little bit of interior detailing, then I put the cover back in place.

Fixed it? Maybe.

I noticed an odd and very disconcerting dash/cowl 'clunk' while driving home from work last night. Only present on some bumps, but not all of them, and no rhyme or reason between a minor or major bump. Not the normal Panther noises, definitely something WRONG. Nothing loose in the dash, nothing visible in the cowl. Wondered if the HVAC bits were F'd, but I tested and verified proper function of those.

So, yeah, I was all out of sorts last night and didn't sleep well because of it. Woke up early to double-back to work (it's shift change weekend, lucky me) and thought "wonder if it's some ice rattling around in an area that I can't see?"

So I took it to a local touchless that alleges that they wash with warm water, and paid for the big boi wash. Figured maybe it would knock something loose or melt the ice.

Well, it did the trick! No more clunk.

Unfortunately, all the water that the air dryers didn't get to ended up freezing me IN the car. Inside handle doesn't work now - likely frozen. I had to roll the window down (because somehow THAT still works) and use the outside door handle. Door hinges were frozen and creaky, too.

Removed console and replaced carpet. Put a P71 mat underneath for extra sound deadening

The ash tray works, but it does securely hold fountain drinks as it wiggles in use. I still have it as a back up.

I know it may not be fancy, but it sure does work well. I might dress it up with some plastic chrome trim. The long "Fin" fits between the two front seats. I made my "compartments" 3-1/4"" x 3-1/4" as you can see, I used some 1/4" thick Luan plywood and some 3/4" thick plain wood, used glue & mostly small brads and/or wood glue.

I set it on the hump and then attached two short side ?legs" with screws to the ends to keep it level, the "Fin" keeps it centered. I made the front panel shorter to ease access to my SkyFi XM ... the front shorter side is maybe 3" deep, the rear is 3-1/3" deep, it sits with a very slight lean backwards which is just perfect I find.

I painted the wood to color it and seal it, then a clear coat, then after dry I cut two 3-1/4"" x 3-1/4" pieces of Drawer Liner for the cup, bottle, spare change, etc to lay on. To remove or clean, just pick it up.

The SkyFi docking station is on a microphone clip attached to the hump to MISS the air bag module under the carpet. I did that in about 2002, it can rock left or right a little, but that's OK.

Yesterday after my dentist appointment I filled it up then took it over past Delta Sonic, where I saw the lines weren't too long, so I went through for the first time in months. The clean didn't last long as I had to drive home, where I spun the wheels throwing [censored] up on it backing into the driveway.

Grabbed some stuff off a new p7B at picknpull. Antenna to fit my empty bracket, RH rear door panel, new cigarette lighter.

Guy who owned it last was a bit of a whacker, had Wowtao red & blue lights behind the grille.

I grabbed them just to use as party lighting in my house.I usually use red lights after 8pm to preserve natural release of melatonin. Plus RBG lighting is dope.

Me too. It was getting a little nasty, and the weather cooperated.
