Took the '01 to the dentist this morning, stopped by HF and Food Lion too, then I went home.

Extended the polarized fused cable for the maintainer to exit from under the hood at the base of the windshield on the passenger side of the '01 as well as did the same on the '07 F-150. Now they too get maintained with dedicated 1.5 amp maintainers along with the '19 Forester & '08 Mustang and my '81 Wheel Horse I already done. Only the '95 and my older '77 F-150 lack them, but I use the '95 more for errands and I let the '77 get a boost every so often. I have more leads, might hook one up on the '77 too, I have a 3 amp maintainer / charger plus a couple real chargers.

Once again, I took advantage of a pretty good deal at a local gas station yesterday. They also own a car wash a about a mile down the road from the gas pumps. If you buy $20 in gas (and/or groceries/beer/lotto), they give you a free, non-expiring $12 car wash coupon. How can you miss? Plus, their prices are usually one of the lowest, if not actually the lowest.

So I've pretty much been fueling up there exclusively and getting a free car wash all winter.

It looked to me like there was a scrape of wrinkle going across the front edge, as if something might have happened to it.

By "era" do you mean from 2006??

Around 05-15. I've seen a lot of f150-250s like that.

Drove it around town looking at houses for sale.
The brake pedal is noticeably spongy. I did a brake flush back in 2017 when I bought the car, so I guess I need to deal with that at next oil change.

Trying to figure out the random power-steering noise. Below freezing, PS pump moans when engine is warm. No noise when cold, lots of bubbles in the fluid when warm. Does none of this when it's above freezing. Tightened the clamp on the return line because I can't think of what else it might be.

E-code lights w/ relays, LEDs w/ switchbacks, 15x8 Ansen slots w/ 255/60 BFG's, Kenwood stereo, various hacks.
This, of course, was merely the semi-delirious notion of a fever-patient, but I remember that it struck me at the time as being eminently practical and feasible.
