Recapped the D9S board and re-assembled the '87. Something tells me that if the computer ever needs to come out again, the whole damn bracket is coming with it. It's definitely catching on a hard edge on insertion, so I'm sure this unit is now also quite stuck.

Anyway, seems to drive similarly, but there's a change in that it feels a bit more "awake". It definitely has the motivation to do 0 to jail time with little effort. I'm definitely wondering if it had been running lean with the early HO type ECU running things, as it tended to tire out in the higher revs. I'll also monitor economy for any changes.

Bled the power steering, tightened a couple hose clamps, drove it to fill up the trunk with groceries. Seems fixed, maybe?

E-code lights w/ relays, LEDs w/ switchbacks, 15x8 Ansen slots w/ 255/60 BFG's, Kenwood stereo, various hacks.
This, of course, was merely the semi-delirious notion of a fever-patient, but I remember that it struck me at the time as being eminently practical and feasible.

Backed it out of the garage to change the oil on my fiancé's car. Then we decided to take it for a blast while the oil was draining.

Currently working on a deal for a new beater. A co-worker's uncle died and she wants his car gone. She was pretty sure it was a 2009 Grand Marquis, and I got pretty excited. Showed up and found out it was a 2009, but not a GMQ, just a Buick Lucerne CX. That said, it's in decent shape with only 90k (decent for a beater in my eyes) and she accepted my stupid low ball offer of $400 so I'm happy. Waiting on title transfers from the estate before I actually pull the trigger.
