hi guys, I could use some help assembling a complete list of parts for my 4.10 gear swap. I found a local shop willing to do the gear and LSD swap for $490 in labor. I just have to bring the parts in. However i am confused about which kits i can use. Can i use mustang kits as long as they are 31 spline? And which quality but budget oriented LSD do you guys recommend?

My mechanic recommend Americanmuscle.com for complete kits but
what do you guys think about these ebay kits?

thanks in advance!

I've been eyeing these kits on Ebay for a while as they seem to be priced fairly and looks to be comprehensive. But as with most things on Ebay, i question the quality of the product.

Hard to say many companies are selling on e-bay in addition to their normal web site, Summit racing etc.. It's really about if they're a reputable seller. That being said i would prefer to get a all aluminum radiator. The cooling failure I did have was the 1 plastic part, thermo-bypass. On the trans cooler portion of the condenser which was sadly all aluminum except that.

ON the first link I noticed the brand AAM listed there, it stands for American Axle Manufacturer, they do a carrier (in the pic listed) that looks open diff with no S spring but is limited slip, on some feedback I read it's mechanism is no better than Ford racing brand. supposedly when burning rubber sometimes only one tire spins.

AAM is a GM supplier I think so it's got reputation, but this carrier mechanism is fairly new and doesn't performs as a ford racing. Just sharing though.

GoldPanther, that's really good to know. It's safe to safe i won't be picking that up.

What do you'll think about this new list that i compiled, total comes out to just over $600. I think it should all work on my 2011 CV. Am i missing anything?
