Getting ready to order a tune from Mo's Speed Shop.

Going to swap in my CVPI intake that I've been sitting on for a while, and was curious about throttle body options.

Willing to make a purchase or two before the tune, and get this all done at once.

What are the recommendations? Should I look at a ported plenum from ADTR, and a throttle body from who? (BBK?).

Advice on part numbers would be appreciated. I'm assuming that the throttle body requires a tune to be taken full advantage of, so I'm leaning towards getting that and installing it now, along with the CVPI intake and tune.

Thank you!

So, my current train of thought is:

ADTR ported plenum
BBK 1765 (70mm) throttle body
CVPI intake

Mo's tune

Is there a "better" plenum and throttle body? Any reason to jump to a BBK 1758 (75mm) or 1759 (80mm) ??

Not bashing chris at adtr as he is a personal friend but there is no porting job that can come close to a accufab plenum that he also sells . It is pricey but also keep it,s value when if you ever want to flip it .

I don't see where he sells the plenum separately? Just a plenum/throttle body combo that is for '04 and earlier.

Is this the plenum we're talking about:

https://accufabracing.com/mustang-4.6l-2v-1996-2004-plenum

What are the downsides to using a 75mm throttle body over a 70mm throttle body, noting this message from ADTR:

"Suggest 70mm for mildly modified cars and 75mm for more aggressive builds (heads/cams/nitrous/blower)"

Then, there's this note:

"The vacuum connections may need to be modified on the Crown Vics as the ports are in different positions compared to stock."

What needs to be done there? If this has already been covered in another thread, and you can link me to it, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I'm still reviewing a bunch of threads, but not finding any concise details.

Chris has been a accufab dealer for the last few months only so even if it's not listed , you still can order it from him and yes correct , this is the correct plenum that you have in the link you posted.
I dont think that there are much down side using a 75 mm tb , it's just overkill for s atock 4.6 2V

The plenum on the 05+ crown vic has a IAC delete port and the vacum port have collared end to accomodate the lock on the vacumm hose, nothing to keep you up at night .

Thanks for the info - I'll reach out to him for pricing, and more details on the install.
