My grand marquis had officially become my project car and not my daily no more. So the car will be parked outside without much attention.

I am looking for an outdoor car cover, I searched online and there's many sketchy brands and who knows if they fit correctly.

Has anyone here bought a car cover for a panther? Please give me your recommendations.

thank you,

Have you tried Weather Tech for their recommendations?
They're located right down in Bolingbrook... their stuff is good... top-notch, actually... but definitely not cheap.

So, I read the rules. Now I'm even more confused.

1984 Canyon Red Mustang V-6;
2004 Gold Ash GMQ LS Ultimate Edition, (Traded away, sadly);

You know what, I just bought a set of perfect fit floor mats for my new-to-me Toyota 🤣🤣🤣 and actually I went to Bolingbrook to pick them up. thanks for the idea, I just went to check for car covers and honestly they look cheap for 600 dollars, it also said that item had a supplier issue which I am sure is out of stock. Still 600 is way to much, my old rust bucket doesn't deserve that 😅.

Have you checked California Car Cover? I see they have this one: https://www.calcarcover.com/CoverDesigner/ChooseColor which is $252.

I've had good luck with the nice Covercraft covers, which are probably similar to the California.

However, the covers can cause problems during prolonged wet periods. I had an old 64 Plymouth that was repainted, and the paint developed pimples from being covered for a week long rainy stretch. If your car is one with the factory paint peeling problem, covering it would only accelerate that issue, at a rapid rate. I would not cover it then.

So these are not an "install and forget" deal. You also need the cable lock underneath, and 4 rubberized clamps, one for each corner of the bumper. Otherwise, you will find the cover down the street after a good wind storm.

I use a Covercraft WeatherShield HP car cover for my Galaxie.

It has seen every storm New England could throw at it and it lasted 4 years before finally ripping. I didn't waste any time in ordering another one.
