Not gunning it from every stop, but close! The CVPI does have excellent throttle response, it just begs for more throttle from low speed. If it's not your car, and you're not paying for gas, you gun it every chance you get. Either with someone knowing they got one or wondering why their Marauder has signs of police equipment being installed at some point.

We have several departments around Seattle with take home vehicles. When some city or county council member questions the financial cost they get reminded that take home vehicles typically last 2-3 times longer than multi shift use cars. Not only are they driven less, but tend to be taken care of better when an officer considers it their car. Side benefit is police presence. Not only in their driveway, but going to and from their station.
