Mine hyperflash, I haven't attempted at all to do anything about it yet, but I did just get them installed. The lights came with some kind of big ass flasher box or something, not sure what they are for. I haven't tried to plug them in yet, but I also have all LED bulbs in the front too, so, idk, I might just deal with it since I don't drive the car daily anyway.

Anyway, I did get the wing installed today, here are a couple of pictures of it. Next Monday I am dropping it off at the tint shop to get the windows done.

The LED rear lights look really good with that color scheme. I presume you've still got the hyperflash. After mounting lEDs to my sport in the rear, I bought the resistor kit and was stunned to find out that those resistors produce and ENORMOUS amount of heat. I mean so hot you'll burn your fingers touching them hot, so hot they'll melt plastic hot, so hot they'll curdle paint hot.

Why has no one else ever mentioned this when talking about LED taillights and the hyperflash?

So after considering what I wanted: fast blinky lights or four toaster ovens wedged behind my plastic tail light housing, I chose the fast blinky lights.

I appreciate the info on the emblems by the way, I am going to keep checking my local yards and eBay. I do have the front one from the original grille, maybe I can use that on the rear. I do want to find some overlays for it first, I want to get ones that are gloss black outline / Ford writing, and then the blue part to be in matte black.

For my money, this is the true POTM, not BlueJay's indecipherable joke. (I can't figure out if he's spoofing the moribund nature of CVNet or if that's what all the honcho's are doing.) I do hate looking at that single fuzzy launch screen picture though, and it's only the 7th of the month.

Either way, it's posts like this from new guys sharing the passion, that keep me coming back. Not photos of other guys driveways or nostalgic talk of banned members from five years ago or inside jokes that no one gets.

That looks to me like a very good paint job, BTW. Who did it, what color is it, what paint was it?

Actually the cheapest quote I got around town was $8,000 and I wasn't about to spend that kind of cash on the car. So I went to Maaco and asked how much for a nice 2 stage (base coat/clear coat) paint job, with the jambs painted, and getting the holes filled in the rear doors (under the body side moldings I removed.) The total for everything they did was $2770 exact. The paint job is not perfect, but for a 2007 with 220k+ miles, it looks damn good, and I think it will look even better once I have it wet sanded and buffed by a professional. Also the color was just called "Gunmetal Pearl". I picked it out of their color book. I had a real struggle between that one and another one called "Pewter Metallic", but I am glad I went with this one as it has more of a blue hue and less of a brown hue (kind of like the newer Fords). I am pretty sure it was DuPont paint if you want to look up the color code.

Edit: Also, I appreciate the kind words. My style isn't for everyone but I think I can make a car look pretty good.

So I found a fellow 'vic owner who swapped his LX grille for the billet style grille and is sending me his original front emblem. Score!

Also, I just picked it up from the tint shop and it looks great. It's 5% all the way around.

The tint strip on the front window feels like its half the windshield when you are driving it, I love it.

That's all for now, I have an entire A/C system to rebuild, my compressor is no good so I bought the whole kit, condenser, receiver/dryer, orifice tube, compressor and all seals.

My last windshield tint ended up looking the same way. From the inside it looks like half the windshield is tinted, from the outside it’s right about at the legal mark.

Mine is definitely way below the legal mark, but I don't really care that much, it looks good and I love it. I drove it last night in the dark; it wasn't hard to see out of at all. Its nice how much it cuts down the glare in your mirrors at night too.

Quick update all, no pictures to post yet, I did a full tune up on the vic as it was running like crap. Splug plugs, coils, cleaning the throttle body and replaced the intake gaskets. It runs like a top again, I've been so insanely busy with my business I haven't had time to mess with the A/C parts yet (ironically as things are slowing down though, the temps outside are coming down). I did get around to install the factory RKE into the car, it already had a stock DDM in the door so I used ForScan to enable RKE option in the coding and then just spliced in the antenna, I programmed a factory remote to test. Tomorrow I will be making myself a new flip key, and in preparation for this I had already removed the factory ignition with the "ears" on it and installed a newer style without that piece to accomodate the flip key. I will post pics of that in the next couple of days as well. Next will hopefully be getting my lowering springs installed, they've been sitting boxes too for a couple of months now lol.

Got my door panel back together today and made myself the new flip key today. Here are a couple pics of it.
