Description
Got started on some of the repairs and mods. Car is now road worthy. The first picture is a rendering of the future blacked out tail lights I need to install. Headlights and side markers are done. Going back to air bags - which are in the mail with supporting parts, and the stance will be lowered an inch. Then the performance mods begin...

Very similar to the 2007 in my sig line. What did you do with the stock wheels? Did you put the marauder fin on yourself or have someone do it? What interior does it have?

I still have the stock wheels piled up in my garage. The car is an LX Sport that came with the fin. The interior is the typical dual bucket LX Sport in light parchment leather, and of course the center console shifter. 3.27 gears and dual exhaust were stock also. Previous owner deleted the air suspension, but I'm putting it back in. She sits too proud in the back.

I've gone with the blackened heads and tails, and I'm about done with exterior for now. I've got some white face gauge overlays so I can see the friggin' numbers during the day.

Performance mods begin soon. Rear gears and U-joints are a bit sloppy, so I'm gonna start there with 3.73 gears and LSD. Next will be cams and a tune, and finally headers and exhaust.

Also have a few mods in mind that I have not seen on any CV - yet. I think you guys will dig it big time.

I'm hoping to attend some Panther prowls, but they seem too few and/or distant.

I really like the look of your car with the darker window tint. I might have to do that too.

I am waiting for the shadow LED taillights to come back in stock, then I'll put them on. One guy is gouging on Ebay right now for the shadow set, he wants $650 for them because everyone else is out of stock. I'll wait till they're in stock at the normal price of about $175.

I may get that marauder tail fin myself, my painter says he can mix up small batches of my color on demand since he has a computerized paint mixer.

I know what you mean about the dash... I was driving my sport this morning with bad sun and I started cursing that my brand new touch screen 9" headunit looked dim even after I turned the brightness up. Then I looked at the dash... couldn't see s*** on it either, not even the digital speed read-out.

I have the medium light stone (beige/tan) interior and I just bought a 2006 MGM with the same interior, primarily so I can swap the burled maple door panels and dash trim out of the MGM and into Vic. Then I'll sell off the MGM here locally and no one will care. I have a badly deteriorated steering wheel, so my next swap is for a half wood LTC wheel with the same buttons in the same color. My Sport came with an upgraded 16" steelie spare instead of the stock 50 mile spare, but I think I'm going to pop for a full 5th Sport 17" alloy so they all match.

My tint is a full limo in the back 30% in the front, so not really legal. But here in Utah they don't care.

Just found a set of smoke LED tail lights (the kind with the l-shaped light bars) for $250, so I bought them. Should be on in a couple of days.

Put the smoke taillights on and they work well right out of the box. Looks like they're got the whole LED hyperflash thing solved for good now, they supplied their own brick-like resistor with double-sided 3M tape to mount it to the back of the light housing. Unlike other resistors I've purchased and tried to solve hyperflash in other cars, this resistor does NOT get blazingly hot.

Now I've just got to paint the black plastic bottom strip below the light in my matching color for full Sport look. I also just finished swapping my interior dash and door panels for woodgrain duplicates taken from an MGM LS. I'm contemplating switching out the overhead console too, because the MGM has a working compass and Garage door openers. I couldn't give a rat-a** about an 8 position compass, but the openers would be nice. Trouble is I've already wired my phone mic and my radar detector power to that console light so that it powers on when I get in the door and powers off when key is out and I leave.

Just checked them during the day, very bright. I've just finished the lower trim strip repaint on these lights too with Aerosol color coat and clearcoat from Scratches Happen. Very good match on my unusual color, I cculdn't be more pleased. I have a bunch of paint and clearcoat left over and so I'm considering doing a Marauder Spoiler, but haven't made up my mind.

Love those tail lights, did you find them cheaper than the $650 ebay price?

Yes, I found a guy on ebay selling them for $250. He was visible all along with the right search parameters, although most of the time I looked I only saw the $650 gougers.

Euro taillights LED Smoke

I really like them, everything works and they come with their own resistors to counter hyperflash. I had to paint the lower black plastic bar to match my Sport's paint, though.
