2 questions

1. I have a 03 cvilian model. Will the alternator fit all years 98-2011? and im assuming most parts will fit from a 03 to any year on these vehciels 98-2011..

2. Also intersted in rear catalytic delete. Woudl this affect emissions?

thanks for the educated replies...

03 to 08 have the most parts commonality. 02 minus less so. 09 was a re-design year. A lot was carried over but there are differences.

Rear cat delete is not worth the effort. Stock motor will not be faster.

You have a 4G PCM regulated alternator. This was used on 03-04 civilian vic and MGM only.
05+ civilian and 03+ P71 used a 6G alternator. You can use the 6G alternator (including the p71 200A) by splicing on the 6G connector. The outer two wires gwt swapped.

Most other parts are 03+.
The transmission is 01-03 (02- have an extra sensor, VSS, ignore the extra connector).
Most of the electronics are more year specific.
03-05 for the LCM

For rear cat delete, you just need to weld in some 2" pipe.
As this is after the rear o2 sensors, emissions tests will not be affected unless your area does visual inspections.

Short answer is yes, it will affect tailpipe emissions, but probably not enough to fail an inspection, if your state still does a tailpipe probe.

The bigger question is WHY you want to do this? There's absolutely no benefit.
