Car weighed in at 3550 at the Certified Cat Scale at the local truck stop. Still have to do the fiberglass hood and remove a few more things. Keeping all a/c and heating components. Getting under 3500 is for sure possible!
They think I may have unintentionally sprayed on the motor tune. Thinking back really hard, I hit the rev limiter pretty hard one time forgetting to shift. Could have been it.
Hey. thanks for asking. I didn't have any pictures of anything so didn't post but ended up needing three pistons and 4 valves. Went ahead and upgraded to forged. Mahle Pistons, Manley rods. Forged crank came with the Teksid block.
After getting the motor back in, I'm finally tapping out the Monster trans. Marty just finished installing a new Freddy Brown full manual valve body 4r70w. They have the trans fluid delivering tomorrow. I bet to have the car back before the end of the month.
