Hi All, I bought another P71 (7B) the other day. I picked it up yesterday and drove it from Wash. DC to N. FL, 750 miles. I am happy with the car BUT....

Driving out of the city yard where I bought it, I had to roll the window down and punch in a code to open a gate. Window rolled down, gate opens, drive through, hit the switch.... NOTHING!!

Sooooo, I drove all the back with the driver window all the way down. Good times. I swapped the switch for another one, no joy, I tried to jump the pins, no joy. Is there a fuse or relay I am missing? Any help!! The mirrors and locks both work. So far no biggie, but it is going to rain tomorrow, be nice to be able correct it. Thanks in advance!!

tried to jump the the pins on the plug

Are you are getting voltage with switch operation? Check wiring to regulator or regulator motor. IIRC, motor assembly can be swapped without removing the track or window.

First question....do the window switches light up?
If they do, you have power.
Are the other windows functioning?

Power is provided by circuit breaker 602 in engine fuse box (big silver thing). It goes through the accessory relay (under dash fuse box). This relay is powered by fuse 9 under dash (which also powers the radio).

I just had this similar event a month ago. Passenger side-front, however. It rolled down, yet did nothing when I went to move it up. No noise. Nothin. I checked voltage and it was all there. Swapped window motor, boom, all good. Kinda weird.

Hey sorry, I should have mentioned, NONE of the windows are working. The only action I took was to roll the window down, so I don't know if any of the other ones worked prior. I will that it was makes me think its a fuse/relay or a short.

There is not backlight on any of the switches, driver door or any other door. ALSO, the radio does not work, but, the clock will come on and if I press CD, it will message "no disc" but selecting FM or anything else does nothing.

I will check the fuses.

Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

There is an aux power wire running from the #9 fuse and the plug was not fully seated, pushed it all the way in and works fine. Its broken and looks like it will fall out again, I just need to disconnect it and put a regular fuse back in for permanent fix.

Thanks again. Sometimes the easiest stuff just sails over my head.
