They finally wore out the tooling?
If the new Charger is an EV, they should call it the Chargee.

Bad mistake. FCA is not considering that political tide has turned. Politics aside, what business model does it make sense to commit yourself entirely to a new method of relatively unproven propulsion backed by a virtually non-existent infrastructure to support it while abandoning proven technology with a committed customer base? Almost no one I've talked to is interested in being forced into EVs much less excited about it. Makes you wonder WTF Focus groups they're listening to. I know the NWO/globalist/social credit score elite are threatening them with climate change gloom & doom if they don't bend the knee & comply, but you still gotta have a customer base interested in buying it or able to afford it. This whole ideology of '[censored] it, we're done with ICE, now we're EVs" is just mindboggling.

Yeah it surely is stupid IMO. Like others said why would you kill of your sports cars and replace them with solely electric cars. They completely got rid of the boomers who buy them now lol.

The only issue I see with this is that Stellantis decided to call this "innovation" eMuscle. eMuscle!
First of all, I'm a huge fan of purposely mis-pronouncing words in a humorous fashion. I will now refer to this as "ee-moose-clay" for the rest of time. Second of all, what a missed opportunity to use something like "Hem-E." Yeah, I stole that from a Jalopnik comment but it's actually pretty good. Compared to eMuscle, at least.
I'll also say that they should definitely just keep the Charger as "Charger." This one writes itself:
"Which car is on the charger?"
"The Charger."
"Yeah, which car is on it?"
"The Charger!"
"Yes! The charger! What's being charged on it?!"
"The Charger is on the charger!"
"Oh, why didn't you just say so? Which Charger?"
"Number 5."
"Uh...which one is that?"
"Uh, the 5th one?"
"What color is it?"
"All of them are the same, man. They're like, green with white stripes, I don't know..."
"We don't have any Chargers that are green with white stripes..."
"What do you mean? All the chargers are that color!"
"No way! We've got a red one, a blue one, a yellow one..."
You get the idea. Just a complete rip of "Who's on first?"

I do think Evehicles will be the way of the future and the majority of car sales at some point. I don't think it will be any time soon. There is just no infrastructure. Out here, there are barely enough gas stations left open off the interstate. You almost need to plan any long trip. With charging, there are only spots available in the big cities, and few at that. Could more chargers be built? Sure but an adequate amount that is proportionate to the anticipation that all drivers will be electric is not feasible. The cost is too high, the practicality is not there, the vehicles cannot be depended upon to do a lot of the work that commercial vehicles out here do. I anticipate ICE and diesel will go on for quite some time in those vehicles. For passenger vehicles, there may be chargers on the east and west coast and this fad may be great for large inner cities. I am not against electric vehicles, but for the mileage one puts on their cars in the midwest (and even the area surrounding the traditional midwest) the infrastructure does not even exist to make this move yet. And hour long charge times make it even less likely and practical. Despite automakers wanting to announce the move to full electric vehicle lines now while its trendy, I'm afraid we are years away before this is practical.

I resemble that remark... Time to knuckle under geezers, ...and that one. Our preferred term is "Coot".

I have to wonder what kind of inherent flaws they can build into an electric motor. I'm sure Mopar innovation will find a way to screw up even something as simple as that.
