It appears that both the green or tan plastic Fuel vapor valve assemblies, also described as the Pressure regulator valves, or roll-over valves located on the top drivers side of 2003 and later CV fuel tanks have been discontinued by Ford.

F8AZ-9G332-BA (early green plastic valve)

YW7Z-9B190-AA (replacement plastic valve)

Does anyone have a source for these valves or have an alternate part number that will interchange?

Rock Auto and other sources I checked show nothing.

There is a similar part made for the Taurus that is very similar to the early green version, and is available, but it is questionable if they will interchange.

It is hard to remove these brittle plastic valves without damaging them and replacements are needed any time a rusted out fuel tank is replaced with a new one.

Note however, that the smaller blue plastic valve on the passenger side of the fuel tank are still available.

Also... does anyone have part numbers for the rubber grommets that fit in the tank where these valves mount?

The F8AZ-9G332-BA number does not come up...but the YW7Z-9B190-AA does...! Apparently there is still limited stock available.

Unfortunately the ones listed are $59-$80 for a $20 plastic part.

At least there is a limited source for now for those that break the originals on their fuel tanks.

Thanks for the lead.

The eBay cross reference indicates that the YW7Z-9B190-AA does not fit the Crown Vic. Only the 2003-2005 Lincoln Town Car.

There is way too much contradicting information on fitment for these plastic valves.

Compounded by the fact that Ford used two different style tank attachment methods for these valves in the same 2003-2004 model years. Some CV tanks have the recessed "notch" style that have a 1/4 turn to attach on the F42D tanks. And others of the same year use the pressed in "flat" style on the F42E tanks.

And the VIN is not able to identify which style a specific CV may have without pulling the tank.

Have you tried this site:

Don't know why the website is being [censored]...I've never used them, but have seen the site for a few (at least) years...

Thanks for the link. Neither part listed above came up on a search of the site. But I'll save the link for reference.

I did finally find the early 3W1Z-9B190-AA "notch" style valve for $50.39 and the smaller blue F8DZ9B593AB valve for $13.34 at an online Ford dealer & have it ordered.

The new inbound Fuel Tank is the Spectra F42D from Amazon.

I was amazed at how much rust and flaking paint was on the inside of the original OEM tank.

If I could figure out how to post pictures of it...I would. But every attempt to load, fails to show up in the intended post.

You have to host them on a third party site like imgur. The file manager has been broken for years.

Sorry to hijack this thread but are these 2 valves that are inside the tank water proof or liquid prood. I had to drop the tank on my 08 and I seen these large pressure valves and I couldnt get them removed I was scared I was going to break them so i left them alone. But I went ahead and washed the inside of the tank with water then used a rust remover. And made sure everything was dry. Would water or liquid mess these 2 valves up? Are they just mechanical??

They just operate on pressure. They are mechanical. There is no electrical circuit to the valves but there is to the sensor on top of the tank on the passenger side.

I just replied to your PM...with more detail.
