If you follow the brake pedal up to the pivot point, you will see the BOO switch with a two wire pigtail attached. On the left side will be a safety pin holding it in (mine was yellow). Use a hooked tool or pliers and grip the wound up end & pull hard. Then just slide the switch off the pivot & disconnect the pigtail. New pigtails are $3.49 from Rockauto if you need one.

To re-install the safety pin just locate the straight end in the hole in the pivot point rod, then push it so the locking part is on top of the rod.

I am having the exact. same. issue. All the way down to which side of my turn signals is popping fuses(left side).

No brake lights, no shifting out of park, no turn signals.

Replaced turn signal fuse, blows again as soon as use the left signal

Replaced BOO switch yesterday, nothing. Still no brake lights, still cannot shift out of park

I am all out of ideas and completely stumped. And I'm missing an entire day of work today over this.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

FIXED. All of those issues, were all due to one fuse... #22. Replaced that, and replaced the turn signal fuse that kept blowing because #22 was blown, and now everything works like a charm. Brake lights, flashers, signals, and I can shift out of park.

Hope this helps someone else who may experience this issue. My advice would be to just pull all fuses pertaining to lighting and electric, check them out, replace the ones needing replacing. Then, check them all again. And if the problem persists, check them again.

And then, check them one more time.

That's literally what I did, verbatim, before stumbling over the faulty one. Be more dilligent than me, too. I spent almost $40 unnecessarily, when it was just a fuse. Be better than me.
