01 crown vic I understand that abs is a good thing, this car never sees snow, or super heavy rain, I've tried 3 abs modules and my dumb*ss tossed the original one, from what I understand 02 and below have a proportioning valve so could I use something like a 99-04 sve abs delete block? I've driven the car about a year with the module unplugged with the brake light on, and it stops fine never has locked them up or anything scary lol just the pedals slightly squishy, pled brakes multiple times new pads, rotors, calipers, rubber lines, master("bench" bleed) if anyone has any thoughts on why it wouldn't work, the car is a 4 wheel abs traclock car so it has 6 break lines, the delete plate in question does as well

Since I own more cars without abs than with, I'm okay with abs delete.
No idea about any of these delete blocks, best to ask those who make it.

Are you deleting because you can't fix it or because you think you can threshold brake faster and better than ABS?

Members have lots of experience trouble shooting ABS. If you have replaced the module that many times, it is likely something else. Suggest you pull ABS codes. If your code reader is not capable, have Autozone pull the codes. Perhaps intermittent problem with a speed sensor in one of the hubs?

I've pulled codes multiple times, with a snap on triton, if the lights on its no com, if it's off, it worked perfectly, the trac button would turn on and off, the 2 modules I put in both used, one was bad I believe and tho other my abs light went out but why Trac button didnt do anything, the sensors are good, I have replaced one. The connector has no corrosion

Yeah, seems like a mystery problem. It has to be setting a code. Communication problem is a U code. The fact that it sometimes clears with module swap indicates something in the connector is not right. Maybe loose pin or chaffed wire. Clean contacts on the ABS valve block with contact cleaner. Not sure if BOO switch is part of ABS but sticky switch will cause mystery brake problems so worth checking or changing.

Sorry I ment the original ABS module the light would go in and out, never had a code through the scan tool would just say can not communicate, when the light was off it scanned fine no codes, then I swaped in the believed bad one, then the one that never through a light, but the trac button didn't function

Also I believ the harness is fine, I've followed most of it, the brake petal switch has never done anything strange, like brake light stay on or no shift into gear, thanks for all the idea tho I didn't think about the boo until you said it

I also wondered if ABS could be disabled but i'd rather not disable a safety feature, plus after seeing input from other members, its more complicated on later model panthers when that stuff became more computer controlled.

Just make sure to get the correct module, the modules with Trac Control (metal/plastic) will have 10 valves and the ones without (all plastic) will have 8 valves

I scored a used one off ebay and installed it and lights went away, but i kept my original and may send it out for rebuild to keep as a spare

Ya I ordered a metal/plastic 01-04 abs module with traction control, I've been running it unplugged with the connector sealed up with electrical tape, my dumb*ss though the original one away

Modern ABS braking systems are designed to be fail-safe. If the ABS goes non-functional, you still have normal (non-ABS) braking capabilty.

Simply pulling the fuse has been a satisfactory "ABS Delete" on panthers.
However I wouldn't really recommend it especially on 05+ because it throws off the proportioning somewhat.

Yeah that's the other reason I didn't bother trying any disable "hacks" on my 08
