okay this local guy just put in the new one for $50. He came to my workplace and did it in the lot. As we were testing it I noticed he had put a 4"x1/8" scratch in my window tint. He said "yeah that happens - there is no way to avoid it. But I could knock $20 off if that's what you want, if that's the way you want to play it, if that's the way you are going to be". So I said yeah I guess so and then he lost it and got mad and called me an a-hole. I tried not to escalate the situation with him since he appeared unstable. Probably just mad at himself for screwing it up. A bizarre scene overall
