92 cv window wont work but motor is working i can hear it.
will replacing the nylon dowels or gear work on this year.

Well, if you searched, you would have found this to be an extrmely common problem.


*HINT* Its the window regulator. Replace it.

Well i did search and i figured it was the regulator but the question was will the nylon dowels help or not?

no just buy the daggone $30 regulator new on ebay.

IMO, you'll never know 'til you inspect whats wrong inside the door. In my case, I had to replace the front driver's and rear driver's nylon inserts. Better yet, I made my own from delrin. Now, I just have to be careful and don't force the windows past their operating range(up/down resting position). They have worked for more than a year now.

so if the window doesn't move and the motor is making noise and you can manually push the window up and down that also the window regulator problem?

yes

the window regulator is the cable and shaft system that moves the window up or down.

you can see the picture on ebay under search: crown vic window

the motor attaches to that cable pulley.
