Well I was reading around on the forums someone said if your car is built 2-18-92 its aode. My car is a 1992 Grand Marquis and my car was made 2/92. So how do I figure it out.

look for the build date on the motor, that will tell you for sure. but chances are if it was made in 02/92, its a AOD, and mine drives fine.

Easy..on a 92..your shifter says PRND21 with push button overdrive on the shift lever, its an aode.
the aod has something like PRN,OD,D21 or PRN,OD,321

I also think a 92 built in February is an early 92 which is aod.

Incorrect. 92 AODEs do not have OD button.

Ok must I have been mistaken, why is there a difference in the PRND21 thing on the dash mid year. Maybe thats the way you can tell, not by the push button lever?
