I just want the speed gov removed and harder shifts than what I have, And I may get the Marauder air box and tube so I was thinking of a 04 PI computer. Would this messup my digial-odo? how can it be installed? Any help whould be appreciated And I thought about the chip but I don't want to put in 93 octane _________________________ I try not to take things personally... That is the biggest factor to me is the gas. BTW why won't the 04 computer work on my 98? If you do a search, there is a LOT of information on doing the airbox switch and a LOT of information on different chips and so forth. Thats what I plan on doing, I don't have the money for the parts let alone a custom chip right now So it will be some time until I get this. Besides upgrading my exhaust to SLP's Loudmouth setup is more Important than the airbox, 80mm maf, and a chip _________________________ I try not to take things personally... carmike Member Registered: 06/25/04 Posts: 114	You have to contact the company that you want to get the chip from and tell them you want it run on 87 octane, then they would burn a chip that changes your timing to run on 87 octane. Basicly, just contact the company, like Reinhart(http://www.reinhartautomotive.com/performancechips.ivnu), and tell him what you want from the chip. Try dennis Reinhart. If he just wants firmer shifts and speed limiter increase, P71 computer would be a MUCH CHEAPER option. Marauder airbox kit wouldnt work, he'd need a chip. They make exhaust for the Mustangs now. Shouldn't really have any trouble, I asked the guys there over the phone if they would be able to do it said should only need some pipe extensions. If it doesn't work I'll ask if they could custom bend me a exhaust for my car _________________________ I try not to take things personally... My Grand Marqis is limited to 103, not 112. Does any body have a idea at what speed the civi drive shaft will fail at so I can not go that fast? I only want the car to be able to go faster if needed. When I supercharge the car I don't want to even come close to the top speed limiter. And I want to outrun my buddies S10 _________________________ I try not to take things personally... This would allow the back to fall, but not the front. You dont want to get close to the top speed but want the car to go faster and want to beat your buddy's S10. (street racing?
