Was cleaning my trunk today and noticed I do not have a jack.{On of the things I forgot to do when I purchased the car} Can I get by with carrying a floor jack in the trunk of my car? Is there a website I can go to to purchase a jack. Thanks

A floor jack works fine.

Don't jack it up by putting it under the center of the differential or cross member in the front. That is forbidden in the owner's manual.

What do you mean by floor jack? If it is one of those long things that you roll around, you are both nuts. You could fit at least a case of beer in that space. Mudbone, if it is not under the spare or behind the "carpet" on the right side, you can pick one up in a salvage yard.

Some have it wedged under the back of the spare as well.

I've been thinking about picking up a bottle jack, just for ease of use.

I've had two flats so far on my right rear, and with the amout of travel in the air suspension, it takes forever to lift the car with that little scissor jack. True floor jacks are even better, but I don't want to sacrifice that much room.

I wish I knew that before (no manual). are you supposed to jack it up by the pinch weld or the frame? Any idea why it's forbidden?? (I guess you could snag the sway bar in the rear)

Mine is strapped right next to the spare tire with bungie cords, I got plenty of space.

Mine's wedged under donut spare.

A bottle jack will be a pain. if it's tall enough to lift the tire off the ground, it wont fit under the frame rail (esp if you have a flat), and the lift head will bend the bottom of your frame rails.
