My 1998 P71 with 80K miles has a parking brake problem. The auto-release only works sometimes. I'll try to troubleshoot this tomorrow. I've got a list of tests I pulled off of In the meantime, I thought I'd ask the forum to see if this problem is common enough that someone can cut to the chase and save me some time. Note: I don't hear any vacuum leaks inside the passenger compartment. The parking brake pads were recently replaced, but I'm pretty sure the problem predated that. The dash brake light indicator is working fine.
