I have just purchased a 94 cv but it is badged as a police interceptor. After checking the vin, i have discovered it is a p73 with a 3.08 rear end...what upgrades were done to these cars that made them different from a regular base cv?
It has the badges on the sides and in the windows but thats all i can see so far...

Thats not even stock location. I highly doubt that car was ever in police service (not a bad thing)...

I doubt it was ever in police service also. Maybe if it were an 04?....

BTW, is that a chalk line on your tire? Haha, those meter-maides...

No it doesn't. You can tell it's non-stock and in a non-stock location and the badge isn't even level with the trim!

As far as I remember '94's didn't get the "police interceptor" badge like the one on your car. Also a p73 is just a base model vic(nothing wrong with that, mine is a p73). Those stickers/ decals are available on ebay everyday for about 10 bucks. Nice looking car regardless. How many miles on it?

yes, but only the p71's. and you can buy those stickers off of ebay as well. a p71 has dual exhuast, and never said anywhere on the car (other than the windows) that it was a police interceptor. onj a 94, it would say crown victoria where the side badging is.

I wouldn't think it's pi. or at anytime was.
I have '92 p72 which stayed in service until 97 or 98, and then the cops did put the interceptor badge (not that they had to, because it's not even a p71) on it. However it was at the stock location, not where yours is.
You can always check your computer to see if it's a p71's, and also check your shocks, etc. to see if they are heavy duty parts.

PS. it's nice to see someone in this forum from Alberta.

just curious, but where is a stock location for the interceptor badge on a 92? are you talking about the window decals?
